Artifact 5: Photography Techniques

Matcha Snatches the Fish by Nosakhare Egbon under CC BY

I used the technique of taking an action shot. I did this by using the Burst feature on my iPhone to take a series of photos of my cat playing and selected one of the many frames. With this photo, I want viewers to see an action shot so they know it's possible to take one on an iPhone if that is the device they own.

For this photo of some plants by the window, I used the portrait feature on my iPhone and incorporated that with the lighting technique. The closest plant is in focus so when viewers see this photo, their attention goes to what's in focus first.

Black and White Scene by Nosakhare Egbon under CC BY

This was a bit of a new technique for me to use. I took this photo with the black and white filter on. Usually, when I take a photo, I apply the filter after but this was taken with the filter. When viewers see this, they should be able to tell that the picture contains objects in different colors because of the varying greyscale colors seen in it.
